The 13 BEST Gift Ideas for 13 Year Old Boys

Written by

Got a teenager in the house? A boy? I feel ya! I’ve got one myself and he is the absolute hardest person to buy a gift for. Here you’ll find some great gift ideas for 13 year old boys. This Christmas, he wants #1 below, the HTC VIVE Pro for some big bucks. Yeah, it’s cool and all, but the price tag feels more birthday to me than it does Christmas. It also feels like everyone he knows needs to go in on it. So, for this list, I had him put together 13 ideas of things he’d like for Christmas or his birthday. I actually got some really good ideas from this, and have since checked him off my list, wahoo!!

  1. HTC VIVE Pro Virtual Reality System

This system has ALL the bells and whistles, and right now, comes with an Amazon bonus of a $150 Amazon gift card, winning!!! If your teen (or husband, or wife) is into VR Gaming right now, but they want it at home, this is your pick. It’s Amazon’s choice, but it’s also ours. Based on the research we’ve done, it’s one of the best products for VR Gaming headsets.

2. Nintendo Switch – Neon Red and Neon Blue Joy-Con

What do you love about the Nintendo Switch, I ask? First of all, it has a wide variety of games. Secondly, Super Smash Bros. just came out and you can play that on it. Finally, it’s just the best for both kids and adults. Adults LOVE this gaming device, I know because I asked around. They love it! Great gift for all ages, but especially fantastic gift ideas for 13 year old boys.

3. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

This is the latest and greatest and EVERYBODY is playing it or wants to be playing it. The series has been around for a long time, and it’s a fun game where people battle it out on an island and knock each other off. You can battle your friends too, so yeah, ya know. It’s awesome.

4. Waterproof Camera with Video Recorder Includes 8 GB Memory Card

This is a great gift idea for any kids. It takes photos and videos, it’s waterproof and it’s relatively inexpensive, coming it at under $50. Comes in pink, blue and navy, too! Stick that puppy in a stocking and make your kids squeal on Christmas morning.

5. Wonder Chopper Sky Patroller Mini LED Stunt Drone RC Quadcopter Red and Blue

I mean, who doesn’t like flying quadcopters that light up? My kids do! This one is beginner-friendly and says that it’s crash proof. You know you’ll be finding that out within 5 minutes of its use. This is a fun gift that’s sure to delight any young man or lady.

6. Nerf N-Strike Elite Strongarm Blaster

Not surprised at all to see this one show up on the list. Is there any such thing as too many Nerf guns in the house? I don’t think so ’cause one is always broken, and there are so many kids always running around. If one doesn’t have his own, then a meltdown is sure to occur. This Nerf N-Strike Elite Blaster seems to be pretty popular, it’ll make any kid happy.

7. Little Valentine 300-Dart Refill Pack for Nerf N-strike Elite

And, you might as well get 300 refills, cause these things get lost like needles in haystacks.

8. PlayStation 4 Slim 1TB Console

This console has a lot of games and PlayStation is one of the most popular on the market. Coming with 1 Terabyte means that you can have a LOT of games on this machine. Would a game console make your 13-year old happy? Let me answer that for you…YES!

9. PS4 Controller Wireless Bluetooth with USB Cable for Sony Playstation 4 Compatible with Windows PC & Android OS

Because 13-year-old boys like to throw darts at boards. This one’s nice because it’s magnetic and no sharp edges are involved. I’d recommend keeping your head out of the way though. Just for safety purposes.

13. Diggin Active Dodge Tag

Finally, I know this was chosen just so my son could throw balls at my daughter. And no one will be hurt at the end of it. I’ve seen the kids play this game, and it’s super fun. Lots of aerobics are involved, what with running and jumping around. Easy to play inside and most furniture will withstand the frenzy.
Ok, now you are prepared with plenty of options for gift giving and 13-year-olds. And, not all are video games. Winning!!
